About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Assistant is primarily responsible for completing payments and managing expenses within the organisation by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling supplier invoices.
This position will also perform and manage the end-to-end accounts payable duties within corporate services, purchase/order payment plans for incoming invoices and investigation issues.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform accurately and timely processing of supplier invoices and ensure invoices are processed in accordance with business process, procedures, and the company Financial Delegation Authority.
Manage the reconciling of vendor accounts and statements within a timely manner.
Prepare and process fund transfers, cheque payments and month-end closing and supplier payments in accordance with the company’s agreed trading terms.
Assist in special projects, Ad hoc and accounts payable duties.
About You:
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Accounts Payable role along with the following attributes:
Demonstrated experience in similar role and/or sound knowledge of Accounts Payable principles, processes and software.
Good understanding of GST and FBT tax law implications.
Experience with a Finance ERP solution.
Excellent Attention to Detail and accuracy.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with proven ability to form good working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
